15 Months

Another month has already passed! Holy smokes time does FLY with these little folks around!! I apparently did not do a 14 month update, so the details of the last two months kind of run together – bad Mommy!

In his 15 month, Mason:

  • still wore Size 3 diapers, but judging by the sudden overnight leaks, they’re soon to be a thing of the past
  • Wore mostly 9 month pants and 12 month tops
  • mastered walking and walks everywhere unless he’s tired
  • still breastfed in the morning… if he wasn’t distracted!
  • went from 3 bottles of breastmilk a day at daycare to 2.
  • went to a big park for the first time
  • spent 2+ hours a day at daycare playing outside
  • loves to go on walks in his stroller and point at dogs and hoot and hollar
  • loves to gently pet Joe the Greyhound but occasionally tries to climb him
  • loves to try to pull Buzz of the couch by his fur (NOT allowed)
  • lost his doggy sister to cancer
  • loves to say HI and Bye! (accompanied with waving) in context any chance he can
  • absolutely loves shoes and brings us them on command (and sometimes not on command)
  • hates malt-o-meal and often refuses green beans and peas
  • loves blueberries and raspberries
  • likes to go for walks in the neighborhood pushing his lion walker
  • started saying a bunch of words on a regular basis
  • started saying “Joe” this past week and also likes to imitate what we’re saying
  • some seperation anxiety has started kicking in and he cries when people leave the room
  • had several sand filled helmet & shoes days  as his “friends” at daycare love to dump sand over one another.
  • wore shorts to daycare for the first time
  • loves to swing and go down slides
  • likes to pick up rocks and pinecones and throw them
  • learned to open drawers and loves exploring their contents
  • favorite toys include our Harmony Remote, any cell phone, and anything with wheels
  • loves to bop his head and shake his booty to certain music
  • started sleeping at night without the Woombie
  • takes one 2-3 hour nap at home on the weekend and  usually about a 1.5 hour nap during the week at daycare
  • officially moved to an 8 pm bedtime (see “short nap at daycare” *sigh*)
  • figured out how to get off the couch by himself
  • loves climbing up the stairs on the deck

I was your same size at 15 months – Mommy looked it up. Sounds like you’ve had a very busy month!
