After nearly three years of keeping a blog on the B2Evolution platform about my adorable son, Mason, and the trials and celebrations of being a first time Mom, I’ve decided to stretch my wings a little bit.
Our new site, a WordPress based site (with a new URL OMGaToddler.com) will still talk a lot of about Mason, but will also feature a lot more of ME, his mom. My long time readers (all 6 of you LOL) may have noticed I went from updating 5-6 times a week to 3-4 times then the past several months barely squeaking out an entry a week. It was time for a change – I’d love to share more of our entire life you with, not just the “cute (or frustrating) Mason stories” – my opinions and rants about things, cool stories from work, random “this happened to me at Wal-mart” tales, etc etc. Hopefully all my long-time readers will stick around and if this is your first time visiting, WELCOME!
A little more about me
I work full time out of the house as a veterinary assistant. My job covers it all from answering the phones to assisting with surgeries. Every day is totally different.
90% of my friends are people I met online – usually through the greyhound community. I’ve met many “internet people” in real life. In fact, I just spent a four day vacation with three of them earlier this month.
I hope to go to BlogHer in 2013 since it’s only 6 hours from my house.
I’m a Mountain Dew addict and don’t get everyone’s obsession with coffee. Other than hot chocolate on a cold day, warm drinks just don’t appeal to me.
I’m the type of person who has no qualms striking up a conversation in line at the grocery store or standing in front of 3000 people and giving a speech, yet feel awkward and out of place at parties. Maybe because I do. not. dance?
I rarely watch any TV. Right now the only shows I’m watching are “Parenthood” and “Raising Hope.” We have a Tivo and never see any commercials, so I rarely hear about new shows or new movies.
I’m the youngest of three kids. I grew up with one of my brother’s being my best friend and now we barely ever talk and it makes me really sad. SuperDad has one younger brother (who is older than me LOL) Mason will be an only child.
I LOVE reading and read a wide variety of stuff – including a majority of what appears on the NYT Bestseller list, young adult, chick lit, biographies/memoirs, self help, etc. I DON’T however do fantasy/sci fi. I’ve never read Twilight, Harry Potter, etc and don’t plan to.
I’m the least crafty person I know. I’m very surprised I passed Kindergarten as my cutting in a straight line / not making a mess out of everything I touch skills are still very lacking.
I hate hate hate the cold weather and I’m stuck in northern Wisconsin (Where it’s winter 6 months a year) because I’m a VERY. GOOD. WIFE. (right honey??). If I had it my way, I’d live somewhere where it never got below 70º. Snow for Christmas? Very overrated.
So, it’s your turn friends. Post a comment and tell me something about YOU – I know all your kids so well, let’s learn more about one another! And… go!
